✔  Move projects forward with purpose.

Elevated Mobility

Elevated Mobility

Taking mobility to a new level.

Cities need public transport solutions that go beyond existing limitations. The +1 level opens up new opportunities for efficient, sustainable and integrated mobility.

Urban cable cars are a prime example of this potential. Yet technology alone does not determine whether a project succeeds. What matters just as much is a clear, goal-oriented implementation process from the very beginning, with the right decisions, the right stakeholders and a sound project structure.

Elevated Mobility helps create the conditions that turn promising ideas into viable projects.

The Project Navigator

Complex projects need direction.

New infrastructure projects often take stakeholders into unfamiliar territory. Different interests converge, responsibilities overlap, and decisions have to be made even when not every question has yet been answered.

I see my role as that of a navigator for the project. I do not replace the captain, nor do I take over technical planning. Instead, I know the unfamiliar waters of new mobility, identify potential obstacles at an early stage and help chart a safe, realistic and implementation-oriented course.

This requires a deep understanding of the stakeholders involved and their interests, managing interfaces, translating between different professional perspectives, identifying risks early, changing perspectives where necessary and structuring processes around a shared path forward – rather than allowing individual disciplines to operate alongside one another without sufficient coordination.

Independent.

Providing manufacturer-independent advice and an objective assessment of projects.

Process-oriented.

Creating structures, connecting interfaces and preparing sound decisions.

Reliable.

Clear in approach and dependable in collaboration.

Goal-oriented.

Starting with the desired outcome and turning ideas into concrete next steps.

Well-connected.

Knowing the relevant stakeholders, understanding their interests and bringing the them together.

Forward-looking.

Identifying opportunities and risks early and considering later project phases from the outset.

Workshop on structuring an urban mobility project

1. Project Initiation & Structuring

I create clarity at an early stage of a project through a structured approach that asks the right questions and establishes a sound foundation for what comes next.

  • Initial project assessment and advisory

  • Assessment of existing project ideas

  • Initial and strategy workshops

  • Market and project overview

  • Assessment of opportunities, risks and framework conditions

  • Identification of relevant stakeholders

  • Structuring the next project and planning steps

  • Support in preparing scopes of work and tender specifications

2. Process & Stakeholder Support

I support projects at critical interfaces and connect the stakeholders involved. This helps keep processes effective and enables well-founded, sustainable decisions.

  • Ongoing process support

  • Stakeholder analysis and management

  • Facilitation of project and coordination processes

  • Mediation between technical planning, public administration and political decision-makers

  • Preparation and structuring of decisions

  • Expert sparring for public-sector clients and project developers

  • Support during critical or decisive project phases

  • Conflict resolution

3. Workshops, Keynotes & Formats

I share expertise, structure dialogue and design formats that provide orientation, enable exchange and open up new perspectives.

  • Keynotes and expert presentations

  • Moderation and panel discussions

  • Stakeholder formats

  • Professional concept development for conferences and events

  • Assessment of opportunities, risks, planning and approval processes

M.Sc. Spatial Planning

Dominik Berndt

My Motivation

I am driven by the question of how new mobility solutions can be successfully integrated into existing cities and transport systems so that a promising idea can ultimately become a viable project.

With new transport systems in particular, technology alone does not determine success. Clear processes, sound decisions and the early involvement of the right stakeholders are equally important.

My Journey

With Cable Car World, I created a platform that brought together municipalities, public transport operators, planners, academia, policymakers and the international cable car industry on this scale.

What began as an unconventional idea developed into a professional network and industry platform that enabled exchange between stakeholders from very different backgrounds. This experience now forms an important foundation of my work with Elevated Mobility.

My Background

As a spatial planner, my focus is less on the technical design of individual systems and more on the processes surrounding their development.

I work at the interfaces between planning, public administration, politics, project development and other stakeholders. Alongside consulting mandates, I contribute to professional committees, publish regularly and work as a speaker, moderator and workshop facilitator at national and international events.
